Kybella

Kybella® is an FDA-approved injectable treatment that destroys fat cells. It is an effective treatment option for “stubborn” fat that may not respond to diet or exercise, especially “double chins,” jowls, back fat, or other areas. Kybella is made from synthetic deoxycholic acid, which is a naturally occurring molecule found in the body that breaks down fat. For optimal results a series of 1-6 treatments may be required.

$600 per vial
*Multiple vials may be needed in each session depending on the size of the area being treated

POST TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

● Do not touch, press, rub, massage or manipulate the treatment area for 3-5 day post treatment.

● Ice the treated areas for the next 24 hours. Place a cool compress on the area for 20 minutes and remove the cool compress for 20 minutes. Continue this pattern, as needed for the next 24 hours.

● Apply Arnica gel to the treatment area to help decrease the bruising, swelling and discomfort.

● Take Acetaminophen/Tylenol if needed for mild pain or discomfort.

● Sleep on your back and with head elevated for the next 3-5 days after treatment.

● Stay well hydrated by drinking plenty of water and fluids after treatment.

 ● Avoid exercise, sun and heat exposure for 3-5 days after treatment.

● Avoid Aspirin, Motrin, Gingko Biloba, Garlic, Flax Oil, Fish Oil, Vitamin A & E, or any other essential fatty acids at least 3 days to 1 week after treatment. These items may increase bleeding and bruising.

● Avoid alcohol, caffeine, niacin supplements, high-sodium foods, high sugar foods, refined carbohydrates, spicy foods and cigarettes 48 hours after your treatment. These items may contribute to swelling or irritation.

● Avoid cosmetic treatments such as injectables, laser, ultrasound, peels, facials, or micro-dermabrasion to the Kybella/PCDC treatment area. Profile Medical Aesthetics can assist and advise in coordinating specific treatment timing with other concurrent aesthetic services.

● Please report to your provider immediately if you develop any asymmetric smile or facial muscle weakness, skin ulceration in the treatment area, difficulty swallowing, or if any existing symptoms worsen. You may experience significant swelling in the area treated for 2 weeks, and it may take up to 4-6 weeks to see the results. A series of treatments (3-6 treatments) may be needed to achieve desired results.
